With the launch of FreightWatch's Emergency Response Center (ERC), FreightWatch experts are on-call 24x7 to coordinate recovery of stolen cargo with a nationwide network of law enforcement agencies and cargo theft investigators.
Employing FreightWatch's covert cargo tracking technology--FSNtracks--ERC staff locate the stolen cargo by using FSNtracks to determine the position of tracking devices included with the shipment. Once ERC staff know where the stolen cargo is located, they use the integrated Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) database to identify which law enforcement agencies have jurisdiction in the area. ERC staff speed recovery of stolen cargo by using FSNtracks to monitor the movements of the cargo, and constantly updating law enforcement officers of any changes to location. The satellite maps provided by FSNtracks can even help ERC staff find cargo hidden behind or inside buildings--when officers on the scene cannot get visual confirmation.
